Publishers of New Zealand Farm Location Maps & Books Farm Location Maps was founded in 1994 by a company, under the name of Arcadia Marketing Limited. They had a close association with the Rural sector for many years, and noticed an increasing demand for the re-establishment of Farm Location Maps throughout the whole country.
The company has now been taken over by Rex Forlong, under the name of Rex Farm Maps Limited. Rex purchased the Franchise as an agent for the Central and Lower North Island in September 2012, and then the Upper North Island Franchise in July 2013, until December 2017 when he sold it, only to purchase it again in May 2019.

INNOVATORS
Rex has had a close association with the Rural Service Sector all his life. He comes from a Farming Background, of three generations. He managed his father's large King Country farm, and has owned a farm in the Manawatu. Rex, and his wife Margaret, currently live on a lifestyle block in the same region. Rex has a keen interest in people from all walks of life, and, like Arcadia Marketing, has noticed an increasing demand for the re-establishment of Farm Location Maps and Books, throughout the country. In early 2015, Rex introduced the Spiral Bound A4 Books to the North Island. This is driven by the requirements of the Rural Supply and Service Industries needed, to help identify their target markets.
This provides the Agriculture and Horticulture producers with up to date information, on Products and Services currently available in their Districts. The demand for Farm Location Maps and Books throughout the country, has necessitated the need to establish Agents in both the South Island, as well as the Upper North Island areas, to service this recent surge in growth. Rex himself intends working as an Agent, in the Central and Lower North Island, having worked as an Agent for the previous 8 years. He can see that there are a number of areas that badly need improving, to maintain and continue the service, that has already been provided by Arcadia Marketing, offering more options nationwide, to meet the requirements of an ever changing world.
